About AAHE

A collegial network for the people who make campus arts work possible.

Arts Administrators in Higher Education is a nationwide association of college and university professionals whose work develops, facilitates, and sustains opportunities for students and campus communities to create and engage with the arts.

Who we are

AAHE brings together arts administrators across roles, disciplines, and institutions.

Our programs are designed to empower creative ideas within our diverse institutions, responding to the unique goals and opportunities of each campus.

Members work in a wide range of campus arts contexts, including arts centers, museums, galleries, presenting programs, academic departments, interdisciplinary initiatives, student engagement programs, and community partnerships.

AAHE creates space for members to exchange practical knowledge, compare institutional models, and build relationships with colleagues who understand the complexity of arts administration in higher education.

How we gather

Annual meetings, peer conversations, mentorship, and shared resources.

AAHE meets annually for approximately two days on one of our member campuses to share ideas, best practices, and resources.

Throughout the year, members also connect through breakout sessions, career-stage groups, mentorship pairings, and other forms of professional exchange.

The value of AAHE is both formal and informal: structured programs matter, but so do the conversations, examples, documents, and relationships members carry back to their own institutions.
