The AAHE Research Team has completed a landmark study on the precarious state of the arts in higher education, now published in the May 2026 issue of the American Journal of Arts Management (AJAM). The article examines the evolving crisis facing campus arts programs — from institutional precarity and resource constraints to shifting administrative priorities — and offers perspective on the future of arts leadership in higher education.
